1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!

2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!

3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.

Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

You know where to find cake and tea if you make it to Knole, Lin. And I don’t mean the cafe.

    My three good things today.

    1. Macmillan came for a photo shoot for a forthcoming campaign. Hard work but good fun.

    2. A slice of cake from yesterday. Yum.

    3. I spent the rest of the day resting and listening to an audiobook with my crochet.

    Xx

Those are exciting things Daloni Grin

My 3 good things from Fri.

Despite the scans appearing to show disease progression, the cancer markers have stabilised, and we’re going to carry on with ‘chemo light’ I am ridiculously pleased.

I feel better and my spark is coming back. I’m going to go back to work next week, very, very part time, but can’t wait to be paid again!

Saw 2 of my nieces and my great niece & nephew on the way back from the hospital. Max is 3, and when I was leaving said, ‘ love you Little Granny’ Heart️Saw Lily, 10 months, crawling and have her 1st ever taste of ice cream.Heart

    3 more from today....

We are booking a weeks holiday in Kefalonia, so exciting!

My son is coming over to give me a guitar lesson.

I’m meeting Lass & Gragon tomorrow, and woke up feeling like there’s so much to look forward to!  xx

  • Enjoy Kefalonia,

we go every year and love it there.

    good to be so positive.

  • Just thought I would join the 3 good things club f - mine for this week just wanted to share

    1) 3 month scan has shown chemo tablets must be working - no spread and some healing in vertebrae.  SO no spread is good news gave me a lift I can tell you.

    2) Sun is shining today and my two little birdie friends are almost coming into thehouse waiting for their mealworms and I kid you not cheesey crisps they can't get enough of them.

    3) Holiday in November all confirmed and found a good insurance quote as well so all done - Very excited now need to stay positive and focused on staying well so I can enjoy that swim up suite x

    Happy Sunday everyone

I’m so pleased you are able to go on holiday Daloni and hope you and your family have a really lovely time.

I feel I’ve been hibernating this last week. I’m desperate to make the most of no treatment but what with remaining side affects, yet another stubbed toe (possibly broken) which stops me from walking far and limits me to one pair of outside footwear and the weather, I’m stuck inside. I’m trying to look at holidays but don’t yet have the confidence to book anything abroad. I don’t bother with insurance as so expensive and long and complicated questions so I rely on my EHIC card for treatment away. I am covered with my bank account for non Cancer related problems but would loose the costs of my holiday if cancelled and have to pay for repatriation if Cancer related illness. Although there is a bed at the Cornwall cottage one daughter has booked for end of August if I can face the 5 hour drive.

My three things from yesterday are

    1. Only a small amount of damage from the winds on Friday. I should have made sure the summer house door had been shut properly as it came off it’s hinges but can be fixed.

    2. I made myself a lovely ploughman’s lunch (thinking about it I might have one today too!)

    3. Despite the lunch I am beginning to loose a few pounds in weight. Gives me a boost when I step on the scales.

    Love to all

    Hi

Thanks for the lovely holiday wishes!

I am so sorry you are holed up, . I think I can imagine some of how you feel. I was so excited to be off the chemo and desperate to make the most of the summer when it finished only to be hit with the kidney problems. It's so disappointing but somehow we always manage to pick ourselves up. There's no need to book anything if you don't feel confident. Looking forward to a holiday is part of the pleasure for me so adding stress by doing it when I am not feeling great seems somehow to miss the point as far as I can see.

It's too early for my three good things today so I will post later. So far, though, I have managed to get the washing and packing (mostly) done. I seem to have half a suitcase full of tablet though :-)

    xx

Thank you Janet . I’m packed. My younger daughter is packed. My sister is here to drive with us to the airport. My older daughter is yet to return from the festival she’s been at since Wednesday. ETA 2.30am, still with washing and packing to do. Talk about cutting it fine! I think I’m best keeping out of her way tomorrow. Possibly the day after too.

    Three good things

    1. I’m packed and ready to go!

    2. My friend came over with her 15-year-old today to learn patchwork. She was so sweet and said I should do some you tube videos. Funnily enough that’s where I learned how to do this, I told her

    3. Holiday tomorrow! I’m so excited
