1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Hello everyone.
I was sorry to hear you have been in so much pain Button. I hope you are more comfortable now.
Glad to see that you have recovered enough to get out and about again Daloni.
I had hoped to be able to give all Ovarian ladies good news about my trial results but unfortunately the ATR inhibitor combination I have been on doesn’t appear to be the new wonder drug, for me at least. Time will tell if it helps others. I have updated my profile with more details. I am still glad I did the trial as it was worth the chance but I do feel deflated as it has been a very intense 5 months and I now have a thyroid problem caused by the Avelumab and have put on another stone from all the steroids.
1. Having discussed things with my Consultant today I am now Cancer drug free for a few weeks at least. First time since May 2017 so I’m going to make the most of it as I know it won’t last long.
2. I now won’t have to go fortnightly to the hospital for the planned immunotherapy infusion.
3. I had a much needed glass of wine with my dinner! I wouldn’t have had that if I’d had the drug today! Diet resumes tomorrow!

Liked this blog very much.Impressed by your bag, jumper and quilted table cover. And to have taken up crochet because you didn't know how to do!
Hello all,
SussexO, I am truly sorry that the trial did not have the desired outcome! I do hope being off the drugs will be a good respite for you.
Three things for yesterday:
1) finished sewing a little skirt for youngest daughter's doll.
2) A "Blessing of the house" for the new home ofour friends' daughter and son-in-law.
3) Lettuce directly from the garden of our neighbours.
Three from today:
1) Amongst the usual rubbish in the post today, a note from our Canadian neice telling about the nephew's new baby.
2) Midmorning tea at a friends house with two more friends, sharing joys and woes.
3) Afternoon rest in the garden under the tree where a gentle breeze and sunny intervals created dappling shadows.
Hi
I am sorry to hear the trial didn’t deliver for you, but as you say, maybe it will benefit others. I think we are in such similar situations having travelled parallel paths, so much so they listening to you almost feels I am hearing myself. I do hope you can enjoy your weeks off.
I’m bouncing back and forth between feeling better and getting slammed back. There were lots of great bits today but unfortunately it ended badly with pain and nausea. I’m going to focus on the good bits.
1. Home again after a few days away. The cats were joyous to see us. My neighbour (who does my cleaning) had been in earlier in the day and had even put the bins out. My niece is here until Thursday.
2. We had a very short early evening stroll in beautiful Knole Park and sat on a fallen tree watching a mother fallow deer with her fawn. The fawns have not long emerged from the bracken where there mothers hide them for the first couple of months. We also saw male adults with huge antlers. It won’t be long before they are squaring off against each other during rutting season.
3. Fever Tree cucumber tonic.
Xx
Dear Daloni,
What a completed time going on. As to your experts- if they are in general medicine they will say infection, if it is an oncologist it is cancer... a carpenter will see a nail where and a plumber will see pipes.
Hope it is all settled for the positive in the near future.
The Fever Tree cucumber tonic sounds like a great mediator.
Hugs,
Millie
Yesterday’s three good things
1. Decent blood results. I shall be going on holiday with my family on Monday. Hurray!
2. I had enough energy to make apricot jam and a cake to put it in. It was unbelievably delicious
3. My little one and I had a movie night and watched the particularly cute Pixar movie Coco together.
Xx
So pleased 2 hear u shall get on ur hols. Have a lovely time
WB xx
Daloni, you put me to shame with all the things you make. x
Daloni is amazing!
Like Annette I am hard pressed to select only three good things each day..which is one more good thing, right? To be so blessed?
Here goes...
For yesterday:
1) Freshly picked raspberries with pastries from the baker's.
2) An errand took us into the industrial area.Cornflowers and red poppies (mostly going to seed, but still much colour) where a warehouse was demolished and nothing new built yet. Someone must have scattered seed. What a lovely idea.
3) Marigolds in our garden opening, read and gold.
Today:
1) Awakened in the wee hours then lulled to sleep again by rain.
2) Went on an excursion via google search to Durburgh Abbey, because a sewing chum has just been to the actual site and recommended it; and then to Knole Park, because Daloni goes and mentions it in her 3things. Both very beautiful. Would like to see in person.
3) Finished a little blouse to go with the skirt for youngest granddaughter's doll.
Two days’ worth. Hope it isn’t cheating.
1. After doing an errand yesterday we realised that the sun was shining and that we weren’t far from the coast. Had a lovely walk at Whitley Bay.
2. Daloni’s post made me crave apricot jam so I bought some and had it on a soft white roll. Delicious and no effort involved.
3. Received a video clip of my youngest granddaughter (22 months) performing her repertoire of animal sounds. We’re seeing her soon. Hope we’re not too scared by the tiger.
