1. I'm just about to head off on a weekend with my eldest daughter (10) for a mothers and daughters activity weekend. It's raining but the wellies are packed! Hoping I survive!
2. Head a tiny 3 week old baby this morning - gorgeous remembering new life - so small and perfect!
3. Had a delivery of some amazing biscuits from a friend - special.
Have a good weekend all, despite all the hard.

Mmmmm your own bed, friends, anticipating your daughter’s return. What could be better, WB?
I’ve a tough day (detailed in another discussion). So I’ll end it with my three good things
1. I was in the right place at the right time today and surrounded by the right people.
2. I had a lovely chat with my trials pal at the unit today. She’s super posh, wears bright red lipstick and makes me laugh
3. I’m in my own bed
Roll in tomorrow
xx
Hi all
Not posted here in a while as I want feeling positive
1) I'm having a stint in my hospice just to help with pain and getting me strong...I've shrunk to 40kg!. It's been really positive so far
2) I'm finally sleeping in more then 2-3 hours blocks
3) the food here is delicious!
Have a great weekend all
X
Ah Button
So glad to hear that you are positive. I hope you have a great weekend too, Button, and many more to come.
Tvman xx
Oh . I’m sad to hear it’s come to the hospice for you but glad to hear it’s a positive experience. How are your hubby and little one faring?
My three good things
1. After the recent kidney-related interruptions to Operation Have a Really Great Summer, I’m in Norwich for my daughter’s 19th birthday and my niece’s graduation celebrations. Hurray!
2. Last night was the first night in over a month that I wasn’t woken by kidney pain. I think the latent infection is finally shifting.
3. Yesterday’s birthday celebrations. We had a lovely day. Today it’s the graduation party.
Xx
Hi all, after a bit of a hiatus am back reading, Daloni, of the reappearance of your widow's peak and smiling.
Also smiling at Sussex O's remedying hers with scissors!
Sorry, Daloni, to hear of your trouble with your kidney. Rejoicing with that you are not waking in pain.
On subject of sleep, Button, I can truly understand your good thing being able to sleep in longer blocks.
Yesterday's three:
A little hesitant, after reading of Daloni's kidney trouble, to say #1 is:
Blood work shows my kidney function is better than in years. We do not know the why of it but "wahoo!" I'll take it while it lasts. Probably explains the improved cognitive function, and lessening of nausea and headaches.
#2 2nd Granddaughter's chirpy voice: Granny, I rang you up to to tell you I hope you are feeling well today and drink water and exercise!
#3 Friend traveling out of area returned bringing me apricots!
Today's three:
1)beautiful, mostly sunny, day in the garden, with a gentle breeze.
2) Petunias in pots doing very well. Rudeckia beginning to bloom.
3) Afternoon concert in park. Sat on our blanket eating sandwiches and fruit, listening.
Hi Everyone,
I don't normally post in Three Good Things because I'd be hard pushed to pick out ONLY 3!
Daloni, I'm so pleased you got to Norwich to join the celebrations, I'm so pleased you managed to get rid of the infection!
Button, I'm relieved you are being well looked after. I'm sure they will do their best to build up your strength!
Love Annette x
Hi Annette
you are truly blessed with the gifts of optimism and gratitude
1. We had a lovely graduation party for my niece
2. My niece’s future mother in law is a hairdresser and she kindly tidied my growing hair. It’s about an inch long now.
3. A comfy bed
night all
Hi all,
Trying to catch up with everything after a week away.
- I really hope you're more comfortable and the hospice is a bit of relief. Please let us know how you're getting on.
My three good things:
1. Had a lovely holiday despite torrential rain falling on the tent and then mud flowing wherever we went.
2. I have a lovely husband who is doing most of the work in the house as I am exhausted from the holiday (tent life is not for me, I've become a princess!). He's knee deep in laundry and dried on mud!
3. Reading a good book - love getting lost in someone else's story.
Lazy day for me - hope you're all okay, hard reading about you all suffering in different ways so I'm hoping today brings some peace.
Happy Sunday. x
Ooh how lovely. A hubby who does the washing!
My three good things
1. I am with my nieces having a lovely time
2. The Womb Project published a blog I wrote on crafting through cancer
https://thewombproject.weebly.com/blog
3. There’s a roast in the oven. And someone else is cooking it
xx

You are an inspiration to all of us with incurable cancer. What a lovely piece you had published and it was well written like everything you put your mind to.
