I have seen that some members have named their stoma outlets. So I have been thinking along those lines. I have a urostomy, with an ileal conduit diverting the urine from my one remaining kidney, after bladder removal.
So I'm thinking New Willie or perhaps Little Willie? Not terribly original, I suppose, but indicative of it's role! The final decision will depend on the situation with the original equipment. If hopefully on occasion he can grow a bit larger, to justify being called Big Willie, then I think that should be a pleasing outcome!
hi Katz51 - I make a terrific coleslaw using finely sliced turnip, carrot , pepper, salad cream ( I prefer salad cream to mayonnaise) black pepper and a small amount of spring or red onion. Sometimes I use half mayonnaise and half salad cream. Delicious.

"don't think about tomorrow"
Why no beans Kath?
If I cook them until they’re really stodgy they’re lovely. I have to limit myself to third tin when having brunch. Whoopi does change to whoopee cushion but she manages.
I may try a few bites of tinned sweetcorn. Think that’s a softer version.

Its all down to how much Bowel is left I had 3\4 removed so good comes out quicker than before hence why we have to chew chew chew..I was a slow eater before so you can imagine how long it takes ,as were doing the work for it..
Even when you have a reversal you will have to do the same thing.I was told that there is nothing that I can't eat .I'll soon find out if my Bowel is ok with it..

Hello everybody. I hope all goes well for you all. I have now got an appointment with the Urology Andrology clinic, so will see what if anything they can do to help. Unfortunately I've got to wait till early April, but the wait will be worth it, if I get a positive outcome. I'm not sure what to expect, so any pointers from previous experience would be welcome.

Hi Kidney Bean
Im sorry I don’t have any advice having an Ileostomy has different challenges.
April is a long wait is it possible to ask for any cancellations. My hubby had to change an appointment for something else. He phoned Monday expecting months wait and a cancellation just happened. He had it in four days. May be worth a try.
I hope you have some advice here soon.
Ann
