I have seen that some members have named their stoma outlets. So I have been thinking along those lines. I have a urostomy, with an ileal conduit diverting the urine from my one remaining kidney, after bladder removal.
So I'm thinking New Willie or perhaps Little Willie? Not terribly original, I suppose, but indicative of it's role! The final decision will depend on the situation with the original equipment. If hopefully on occasion he can grow a bit larger, to justify being called Big Willie, then I think that should be a pleasing outcome!
yep- sounds familiar KidneyBean. Sometimes my Stoma behaves like a naughty child having a tantrum. When changing the bag the stoma likes to 'perform' - when at home I change the bag kneeling on a towel with plenty of gauze wipes to hand. There was only the one time when after eating a family bag of peanuts the outcome was projectile output. Luckily I was at home. - Peanuts eaten in small quantities now.

ha - Artsie Ann - sweetcorn a no-no - comes out as it goes in. No problem as I don't like sweetcorn. It's only when I have something with sweetcorn in it that it's a problem. Can't eat rhubarb, celery , mushrooms or raw tomatoes either - too fibrous or acidic.

hi ArtsieAnn - I was told no baked beans but if I have a small portion preferably before 1pm (bizarre - but it works for me) I'm fine. I reintroduced different foods very slowly and in small portions. I was surprised what I could get away with.
