After having very loose stools, I took immodium and it stopped! Now I've had no output for 3 days, no pain, swelling or nausea, just slot of gurgling noises! I was never regular before the stoma but I'd like some advice please, if this has happened to other people!
regards, Moira (Three) x
Hi Jane,
Another great name, Artsie has definitely started something here!
When I first got my stoma, nothing went wrong for ages, she, Brooke, (stoma) behaved perfectly) then suddenly Id have no output for 2-3 days, then very loose for one and now it seems to be happening all the time!! It happens so suddenly too, I think its ballooning, then quickly realise its been very active! You'd think I'd be used to it after 9 months but I'm not! I've spoken to people on here to people who have had it for years and still have problems! Like you, I can't pin it down to any particular food but I've found cutting down on coffee seems to help! I know I should ring the stoma nurse but all she really says is to keep a food diary! This site always has someone to talk to and that's helped me alot! Knowing there's other people who really understand is just so helpful!
Best Wishes
Moira
