Just for fun... Stoma names and why

Hi

My stoma grew to nearly 3 times it's size recently, so I calles it Reus (This is the

Afrikaans word for giant) It's also pretty close to my surname, so it seemed appropriate

Mine is called Paloma, when I woke after my surgery Paloma Faith was on the radio in the hospital ward, I thought it was quite suitable......Paloma Stoma was born !

Just had stoma #3 re-sited yesterday. 

In hospital recovering from protectomy and removal of the remaining part of the colon yesterday.

Stoma had to be re-sited following massive prolapse and damage to surrounding skin and tissue. 

New end ileostomy on the left hand side should make life easier. 

Haven’t named it yet. 

She's called Stella, because she's a star!
