Hi,
First time poster here. my 80 year old Dad just received the news that the tumour removed from his bladder was cancerous. He will be receiving chemotherapy injections starting soon. He also has a several cysts on his kidney's one of which is 4cm & cancerous. Thankfully it's operable and they are scheduling surgery.
I'm so worried about the effects on him as an 80 year old. I'm almost 400 miles away, but thankfully he has my brother and sister near by. He and his wife (my step mum) seem to be quite in denial about it at the moment and not really grasping how things will change. She has mobility issues so it's difficult to explain to them that they may end up needing further help.
I don't think I have a question as such, I guess just needed an outlet to write all that down.
