Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your husband. I suggest that you ring the Macmillan helpline on 0808 808 00 00 to speak to one of the lovely people at the end of the phone line and they will be able to give you advice about protecting your own health as you try to support your husband. In the meantime just be there for your husband when he needs you as he will at some point even though he thinks he doesn't.
