My husband was diagnosed in April with non invasive bladder cancer which has now been removed, but he needs further immunotherapy treatment at the end of September. He has been depressed since the diagnosis. He has.an annual golf holiday to Portugal booked for mid September and I have booked to go away with a friend at the same time. He's lost a lot of confidence, mostly due to toileting issues, although he can go with needing a wee for a couple of hours now. His friends have said he doesn't need to play golf (his energy levels have dipped a lot) He said this morning that the idea of the holiday terrifies him. His assumption is that if he doesn't go on his, I won't go on mine. I really feel I need a break as I've found trying to keep positive very exhausting. There is no physical reason why he shouldn't go, it's just a confidence thing. I also feel it would do him good to get away. I know it's selfish, but I think I will feel resentful if I don''t go. Has anyone been in a similar position that could offer some advice please? Thank you
