What to say ?

I am lost.

Depressed and anxious.

Any help most welcome Smiley

  • Hi and welcome to the community though sorry to hear about your mum.

Any cancer diagnosis is a real challenge so your reaction is not unusual. I know I found it very hard in the early days until I did a living with less stress course. I came to realise that I was spending lots of time worrying about how I would cope in the future and that it was stopping me enjoying the time we had together.

  • Hi Lucifr,

My heart goes out to you and your mum. My husband also has bile duct cancer which is inoperable. Diagnosed 11 months ago,  he has had chemo which initially shrank a couple of his tumors but following an 8 week break due to a picc line infection tumors began to grow. He has had one cycle of a trial drug but this has now also been stopped.

There is a very I informative Facebook group 'cholangiocarcinoma support group' which has links to AMMF a charity specific to be duct cancer. You will also find a link to a petition to raise awareness of this relatively rare cancer.

I wish you and your mum all the very best.  Xx
