I’m currently working as a supervisor, but I’m finding it increasingly difficult to balance the demands of work with caring for my mother, who has been unwell. Lately, I’ve been finding it hard to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
I’m considering stepping down from my supervisor role and being a team member to have more time and flexibility to support my mum. However, I’m finding the responsibilities of being a supervisor harder to manage alongside everything happening at home.
I’m unsure whether stepping down is the right decision, so I’d really appreciate hearing from other carers who may have been in a similar situation.
Has anyone else stepped down from a more senior role because of caring responsibilities? Did it help you achieve a better work-life balance?
