My husband has lung cancer, and is home from hospital with no treatment possible. All very sudden because he has COPD and thought his problems were due to that. Because of the morphine he is constipated and the crisis nurse is working with that. I have set up a WhatsApp group of friends so that I only need to put one message out instead of repeating myself over and over.
I have medium ME so I am having problems with fatigue. Leaping out of bed if I hear a noise. I’m coping with big things but the regular and the big together are overwhelming. Lots more washing, washing up. Soiled clothes, medication, morphine conversations when I’m used to him being so organised.
I need some tips on coping.
Hi
Sorry to read about your husband and how much you have on your plate too, not at all surprised you are feeling overwhelmed.
Have you had a needs assessment and a carers assessment (see here for details of a carers assessment).
Our GP surgery is very good in that my GP will always make time to see me.
<<hugs>>
Steve
