Thank you for letting me join your group, I m new to this group and website, I’ve been to scared to join until now Cry My mum has Terminall Breast Cancer and she’s in a lot of pain, not eating much and is struggling to drink water (would a straw help her, I wonder?) shes kind of pushing me a way a little , I suffer with Severe Depression & Anxiety, which is very painful because I love her so much and I’m terrified of living in this life without her

reading your stories has really helped me to start to understand ,I’m not alone

thank you

    Dear Melanie,

I'm sorry to hear that, my mum is unfortunately in the same position.

If your mum has a palliative care/hospice team they will do everything they can to keep her out of pain so please do ask for their help. They can also provide equipment that might help with any particular challenges you are facing.

Try to focus on living life with her at the moment and having good experiences together, even if it's just sitting quietly together.

I hope you find some comfort on this board and please always ask for help from a mental health professional if you need it.

    Sending love.x
