Gosh, this is such a humungous rollercoaster isn't it.
My wonderful Mum has terminal cancer (ovarian and it's caused bowel obstruction and perforation). She has been in hospital since beginning of June where the wonderful team tried everything to help her beat this but it just wasn't to be.
On Monday I was finally able to see her - we had 2 wonderful days of family and friends visiting and since then she has declined every day. I always promised her that I would be with her, holding her hand and talking to her at the end and I will but right now it is just so so hard. Today she has drifted into an unconscious state, we've had periods with the 'death rattle' and her breathing is very fast and shallow
She looks so frail and she said herself she is ready to die, she wants to go now. I love her with all my heart and will miss her so so much but deep down I want this to be over now for her and for me - so she can be at peace people she loves.
I know there is no answer here, it's just a matter of time taking it's course but I'm not sure how much longer I can do this.
Hi , I'm so sorry to read of your mum's last days. Yes, it's hell being with a parent as they are passing. We were told the last thing to go is hearing so tell her all the things you want to say. I'm sure it must help a lot. Words just can't cut it at times like this, but we're with you in spirit.
Much love,
LoobyLou
