My partner has newly diagnosed glioblastoma and is currently receiving radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This is devastating news for our family as we have 4 young children. I am there every step of the way with my partner I attend every appointment with them go in and support my partner every day when having the mask put on for radiotherapy and only leave for the treatment. Sadly on Saturday my grandma passed away having caught covid 19 in hospital after breaking her hip. I was very close to my grandma and have been unable to say goodbye due to covid 19. The day I found out she had passed away my partner was not very nice to me and I understand glioblastoma is a horrible diagnosis to have. But I have not been allowed to be upset about my grandma. My partner said I am selfish as they have cancer and I should be grateful as I have life. I was just hoping for some advice on managing this behaviour as I am not able to show any emotion at home and in view of lock down I am not working as the risk of bringing covid 19 back home to my partner.
