GP saw my husband in his nursing home on Tuesday 14th January and said he would refer him to MacMillan nurses. While we have general nursing support in place I was hoping for more specialised help (for me and him to be honest) but I have yet to hear anything. How long does the referral process take normally? Or should I chase it up with GPs?
Hi ,
I think it might vary between areas. Your idea of chasing it up with the GP sounds sensible. If you need any extra help you could try calling the Helpline, they're open 8am-8pm every day and they're very helpful.
Hugs,
