Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Thanks, Julie. I appreciate your reply.
I decided there was no good reason to say no!. She said it was ok to think about it and let her know….. I phoned her back an hour later to say yes, for the reasons you wrote….
i did do a list of what I need to take and do a while back - I am an inveteterate list maker….so I need to look at it!
I will also have to let friends/family know. On my list is to create a WhatsApp list, so my poor sister won’t have to let everyone know individually that all has gone well.
I just wrote you a long reply, which I seem to have deleted instead of posting it!
I’ll have another go!
Thank you for your reply, Julie, which I appreciated a lot.

Thanks. Yes, I like my lists!
I’ll probably be in for about a week

Hi Rose
I’ve just had a phone call from the hospital to say they’ve just had a cancellation and would I like my surgery on Monday!!
That's great, get it over and done with. You've still got time to get everything ready for Monday.
Good luck.

Back home now Gill.
I've still got a bit of a scratchy throat so they did a covid test. Results should have taken an hour but 2 1/2 later, no sign. Dr Ed was not happy and went to get them himself and sort them out!! Don't cross Dr Ed!!
Thankfully all negative so 2nd chemo done!! Just resting up now.
