Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hello.
That’s good there has been a cancellation. I agree with the others, I would get it over and done with. The very best of luck with everything. xx
Glad you were able to get it done in the end, but a difficult wait I would imagine.
everyone needs a dr.ed!
Me too Daisy! The Dr did say if I was further down the line, say in week 10 for example, he might have waited a few days but as it was early on, he just wanted to crack on. I agreed.
I could have carried on with covid but we'd have needed 'a conversation'. Thankfully, it didn't get to that.

Well, what a 24 hours….. the surgery on Monday has now been cancelled!!
I was phoned to do my pre-scheduled surgery assessment this morning. Apparently the anaesthetist wants to see me for a full assessment, not just a standard pre surgery meeting and he couldn’t do that before Monday…… so I have an appointment tor this next Wednesday. No new surgery date yet.
It is reassuring that they are taking my other medical issues seriously. And they confirmed I can be admitted the day before surgery, which will be easier for me.
Also, I’ve now developed a bad sore throat and cold, so I should be able to fully get over this.
There's a horrible cold and sore throat going round here too. My OH was floored by it and he doesn't get 'man flu'! He soldiers on whatever.
Take care of yourself Rose. It also seems to be a slow burner and lasts several days (OH was 2 weeks) so pace yourself. Keep up those fluids and get lots of rest .
