Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Gill, You can get return flights to Bali for less than £600 when there are deals on-it’s not nearly as expensive as you might think. We recently priced up a holiday going business class to Bali for 2 weeks and it was cheaper to go there than Cyprus on an economy flight!
I know you are not a fan of your MIL so that made me smile. I don’t intend speaking to my in laws again, not after the Christmas carry on, but that’s no loss to me. The house we would like is unfortunately in the same village as them. I’d just get big gates!
I’ve lived all my life by the sea in different places in Scotland until I moved to England, and really miss it…Cleethorpes and Grimsby are not quite in the same league!

Sleep well Julie.

Sarah, we could actually afford to go to Bali, as it's nothing like as expensive as I thought. But, my perforated eardrum put paid to flying after the Lanzarote holiday as it hurt... like mad! Never again.
We live far too close to mother for comfort, so our fences would be 15 foot high with barbed wire laced round the top and depth chargers round the bottom. I don't think our neighbours would appreciate it somehow.
Anyway lovely, I'll try for an early night - I found some sea podcasts with waves lapping and seagulls crying which are lovely. They didn't get me off but I'll have another crack at them now. Great chatting again but I'll bid you night night and sleep well. Hugs xxx
Morning everyone
Yes, Helen-when we were choosing our campervan in NewZealand it HAD to have a toilet! So good during the night not having to get up. I never used the shower in there though-that was easier at the campsites.
A motorhome is already on our list of “things we will buy when we win the lottery”.

Hello everyone. Hope you are all well?
I am just catching up with posts, and I am loving all the holiday talk.
Me and my husband are going to Sheffield next month for the World Snooker Championship.
It is something that we have always wanted to do, and it was booked away last year before I was diagnosed. So looking forward to it, especially after yesterday’s news. xx
Thanks Sarah.
Been tired today as steroids kept me up a bit so harder to stay positive and find things I can be bothered to do.
Am used to poorer sleep being post menopause but this hits a bit differently. At least I don't have get the energy up to go and teach my class who are exhausting at the best of times (but wonderful and I miss them).
I need to get out but live very close to where I teach and don't want to bump into any parents!
Tomorrow is another day though, as they say! xx
