Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Afternoon Kez all ok at chez OH and moi.
That's fabulous about the snooker hon. Will you be going to the Crucible? A few years ago my SiL and one of my grandsons went to the snooker in York, and we saw them on telly as they were sitting right behind the action. You'll have a great time sweetheart xxx
Afternoon Julie so sorry to hear you're feeling iffy today lovely. Try to relax and don't push yourself.
When you do go out, hopefully any parents you may bump into will have the gumption not to pester. I used to work in a school just down the road from our house, but I knew a lot of the parents well from constantly inviting them to come in and discuss their little darlings! I had no escape.
Fingers crossed tomorrow will prove to be a better day for you sweetheart xxx
Hi Julie
I found it really difficult to sleep when I was taking my steroids, even though I took them at lunchtime, hoping the effects wouldn’t be so bad. I remember a lot of times creeping downstairs in the early hours and making a cup of tea waiting for it to get to a normal time to get up.
Aww, you’ll be missing your kids for sure but you’ll get back to them in time.
Sarah xx
I go to sleep and then awake within a couple of hours I then stay awake thinking the lack of sleep will make me sleep
It's not easy is it?
Lack of sleep made me sleep about 5 this afternoon so now I'm awake and raring to go!! ️
