Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I am happy things are a lot clearer for you. Like many said before and for me personally, its the not knowing. When my own journey all started, it was a mind field of Information, scans, tests, surgery. Now I have my plan and treatment started, my mind is much more settled. Not saying that anxiety, stress and the over thinking does not creep in from time to time.
I am so pleased you find all the support beneficial. This group helped me a lot to and still does. Xx
Julie, it's actually good to know you're now on the road to recovery - the meds are there to help you along, even though you're probably not thrilled about that aspect.
So glad about your consultant's positive attitude, as that's exactly what you need my lovely. Keep checking in and keep us posted on how you're doing, as we've got many hands for you to hold onto.
Warm hugs coming your way xxx
Can take 2 or 3 weeks for biopsies to be done. The waiting is the worst and not knowing. For me it all went so quick then there was like a 3 week stand still. Nothing was happening then it all sped up again.
I can see why the sleeping is difficult, and very understandable. I would say try to not let it stress you, but I would be lying as I struggled to. But keep talking to us as we are all with you. x
Hi Pepper. Aw sweetheart, there's no way the waiting can be hurried along, but like others have advised try to take it one day at a time. They go by quickly, even though it doesn't feel that way now.
A maxim I often try - carpe diem - seize the day and sod tomorrow! Big hugs my lovely xxx
Hi Pepper,
Have you tried the Calm or Headspace apps? I haven't yet but am thinking of giving them a go. I've heard good things about them.
As Jamie said, it's easier once you've got your plan so hang on in there, it will get easier. Horse riding sounds a fantastic thing to be doing.
Sending lots of hugs your way Pepper xx
