Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Morning all
Ray, Pepper & Julie I hope you all manage to get some sleep. The thoughts that swirl around your head certainly don't help.
I was up at stupid o'clock this morning and did some catching up with Eastenders.
My diet changed after surgery, mainly because I was sat on my bfa for weeks and needed to make sure I didn't put any weight on (I'm diabetic too), it changed again when having radiotherapy as it played havoc with my bowel so I had to vastly reduce the fibre in my diet - I called it a beige diet then
. I did give in to a few cravings though and while I was in the chair having chemo Alan would deliver me a chocolate bar as a treat.

Hi everyone,
Just got back from my hospital appointment. My myloma diagnosis confirmed which of course was what I expected. The consultant was lovely and very positive. I've just taken the first medication - some steroids and stomach protectors and will start my chemo on 18th.
Feeling a bit better now it's all kicking off but it's a huge amount to take in. I've never taken any medication before but now I'm going to be making up for it!!
I'll say it again, I can't stress enough how grateful I am for this group. It's really good to talk to you guys xx
