Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Bananas are surprisingly nutritious. Good choice! I think everyone who has cancer is on high alert for new pains, twinges or symptoms. My policy now, after 7 years, is to wait 3 days unless they are severe before trying to see my GP for advice. If the event passes, I note it in my diary so that when it happens next time I can better resist the panic or doom feelings.
Bridgeton is fantastic, also loved the crown. (Gets better as it goes along)
I also watched stranger things, because everyone raved about it and there were loads of episodes. Was a good watch but did grip me like others have.
game of thrones is my favourite but I assume everyone has seen that already xx
I know how you feel Pepper. Every twinge is now cancer in my head! At 61 you get used to a few aches and pains but now they take on a completely different meaning.
Your stomach ache is probably lack of food. Try to eat something nice. I also had a chocolate craving for a couple of days this week and I don't usually eat chocolate. I gave in and the craving has gone now.
Be kind to yourself Pepper, try to rest and try not to worry - easier said than done at 4am I know!
Mine was an ordinary diary. I started it in 2010 so that I could remember what I did yesterday or last week. Time passes so quickly as one gets older (76 here) - except when waiting for results of tests. The diary is now well over 1000 pages. In recent years it has become more like a medical journal but I do include other news or activities.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
