Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Hello Gill (

I had just sorted the motley crew on the Prostate Group out and was catching up on the action here when DaisyKate's post popped up. Hence the "speedy" reply

To be honest I dip in and out of quite a few groups as a "Champ" and try and keep up to speed with this thread but don't always have a chance. I know my friend Sarah looks in too.

If you do need me for anything my message box is always open - happy to help.

Kind Regards - Brian (aka Speedy Blush) xx

  • Hello, and a warm welcome to the forum.
I am sorry about your diagnosis.
Once you get a treatment plan, things will settle down.
    Sending hugs. x

  • Hello.
Aww, that’s so lovely. Yeah, I am looking forward to getting over the next step.
I think it’s just going to be day surgery, but will find out next week.
My husband and I got some M&S vouchers at Christmas, so we are going to use them and get some nice food to fill the fridge for when I am recovering.
Enjoy the rest of your day. xx

  • Hello.
Sending my very best wishes to your Sister.

  • Kez, that would be great if you'll only be in for a day! But definitely get some nice food and treats in, and let hubby pamper you too - a nice warm throw, while you relax on the sofa, usually goes down well. xxx
