Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I really can't remember when I had a good night sleep the sweats dreams pain ...worst is noond to talk to
I managed to speak with my GP and got some short term medication. I explained my situation around sleep. I discussed all the the home remedies I had tried. They really understood. I had a mixed sleep last night drifting off at half 12 then broken sleep on and off. However I didnt take medication as I said I only want them when sleep is been difficult on the 3rd night. I really think it is worth speaking with your GP as the next step. Night time is the worst with no one around to talk with as the rest of the house sleep. Your doing the right thing by talking in here as we all suffer with lack of sleep xx
Good morning fighting and welcome.
That's really sound advice from Jamie about sleep problems sweetheart, so maybe consider speaking to your GP. You haven't said, but if you're undergoing treatment are you on pain medication? If so, let your team know so it can be monitored.
The good news is you've now got us to talk to, as our wise night owl Jamie also said, many here have a constant battle with insomnia. Big hugs xxx
