Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I never went on google once when I was going through my cancer and treatment Gill-scared of what I might read that would make me feel worse! I trusted my team, and got pain meds changed on occasion too which helped me.

Some great advice from all of you
thank you again for being there for me tonight. I am going to try and rest while the meds kick in. I’m still in pain but I’m so tired I hope I can get past it. I hope you all get some rest too.
We are all here for each other. Even me as newbie will do my best to support everyone the best I can. Rest well and hope all will get some rest or sleep x
That’s the thing-it has such scary stories and leads you down all sorts of rabbit holes. I wouldn’t even read the booklet from my CNS and made her put it in a sealed envelope where it stayed for about 7 months!

Well I went to bed about 8pm and fell asleep. I was shocked when I woke up again and saw the time!

I might get a few hours in a bit Jamie. I’m not often awake at this time.

Crikey, you have got an iron will Sarah! I've learned my lesson and only use reputable sites now, if I really have to.
Well my lovely, I'm going to try and sleep as I've got another early start. I really hope your other half is responding to his treatment and will be home as soon as possible. You take good care of yourself too, as it's not easy being away from each other. Night sweetheart and try to settle down xxx
Get those eyes closed Gill!
Things are going better at the hospital thank goodness-“responding well” is what the doctor is saying, so I’m happy about that. Night night.
