“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I hope you got some sleep.
I had womb cancer and had pelvic radiotherapy which played havoc with my bowel so my toilet habits went out the window. I spoke to my CNS who gave me loperamide which helped alot, she advised me to take one each morning whether I needed to or not. My GP also put loperamide on my repeat prescription when I had a cancer care review with him. My daughter in law is a GP and she gave me lots of good advice. My radiotherapy finished at the end of November 2024 and I'm still having some bowel issues (I also take diabetes meds that can have the same effect so it's not a good combination).
I agree with all the others about stepping away from Google, my DiL absolutely hates it especially when patients quote it to her

I'm still full of cold and had another disturbed night with snuffles and coughing. I thought I heard Alan say "you're out of order", which he denies so I must have dreamt it LOL
I think a lazy day is on the cards today.

lazy day sounds good. I am off to B and Q as in my wisdom and being home recovering from surgery..I have decided the lounge needs a freshen up...lack of sleep and late night scrolling...new sofa, new furniture, paint and wallpaper...on route..hope you feel well soon x

I would happily decorate your bedroom. I actually find decorating relaxing. Needed a project for my last 5 weeks of recovery....now I just need to let OH know the reason I want to go B and Q and drop the hint we have a new sofa and Oak land furniture coming hahaha

I've been at my eldest's this morning as it's her birthday tomorrow - 46! Crikey, that brings it home how ancient I'm getting.
