Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hello allasada
Welcome to the online Community - I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan.
The Community is divided up into cancer specific groups so you may find your answers by joining our Chemotherapy Group - here's the link you need:
Just click on the link I have provided and once the page opens up and you have joined the group - you can repost or copy and paste your original questions.
You can also join the group which is specific to your own cancer - breast - lung etc. If you let me have details of the specific cancer and I can direct you there, where you will meet others on the same or similar journey.
I wish you well and if you do have any issues navigating the Community please do get back to me.
Best wishes - Brian.

Hi Wombz
Welcome to the forum, I'm Daisy53 one of the Community Champions on the Breast Cancer and Triple Negative breast cancer, I also keep an eye on some of the other forums including this one to see if I can give people the benefit of my experience.
Fortunately the information on google on breast cancer is out of date. You are better off relying on sites such as this one and Breast Cancer Now for your information.
I was diagnosed twice with breast cancer and after having treatment both times I made a full recovery.
I noticed that you are a member of the Breast Cancer Forum, when you feel up to it why not introduce yourself on that forum where you will find lot's of support from other ladies and gents who have breast cancer and from those who are finish treatment, a few of us of stayed around once treatment was finished to help others in a similar situation.
Wishing you the best of luck with whatever comes next for you.
Best wishes
Daisy53

Hello, and welcome to the group.
I am so sorry to read about your diagnosis.
Once you get your treatment plan, it does get slightly easier, when you know what is happening.
Try and take a day at a time, do some nice things for yourself.
