Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

It will get easier.I had bladder cancer and needed life saving surgery and although the diagnosis was not unexpected it was still a huge shock.Everything happened so fast that I didn’t have time to process it all until during the recovery from the operation. What you are feeling is common and I’m sure you will feel better once you have spoken with the consultant.Love Jane x
Thanks Jane, just hearing that there are other folks out there going through similar things really does help, it helps us to feel that we are not alone. I need to take one day at a time, and just get through to friday and hope for the best, sending love back x
Sorry that your accommodation is temporary, not what you need at any time, let alone when your health is not good. I hope that you will get something permanent very soon which will help no end. I can sympathise with you as was in the same situation myself. I found that constantly bidding for homes, alongside ringing the housing team eventually paid off (think they got sick of me ringing nearly every day). Hope this helps.
Thanks,Sorry you went through the same.I only had 2 weeks notice that my house buyer wanted to move in by Christmas. Not long enough to pack up a 3 bedroom house mainly on my own.It was the move from hell everything went wrong but hopefully I will be in the new house soon. The owners here are nice but I can’t wait to move out.
Hi Nicky
Sorry to see your diagnosis and that you've found yourself here.
It sounds like your oncology team are on top of your treatment. Don't be afraid to ask any questions, however trivial or daft you may think they are.
There is normally someone hanging around here so feel free to chat/moan/vent. Lots of us have been where you are.

Hi Alex
I did a lot of relaxing yesterday, helped by the terrible weather confining us to the house. I did some crochet and caught up on some TV.
I was up early again today but we've got a nice day ahead, we'll be spending time and having a takeaway with all our family.
Enjoy your breakfast and I hope you can rest.
