Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Oh Jane-you poor love! You have had an awful time of it. What a stress for you in addition to the normal stress anyone has moving. Awful for your Sarah too having her car situation, just at the wrong time…you both need some good luck now and a smoother way forward.
Ah, I didn’t realise you hadn’t got your new place finalised quite yet…it must be so difficult to get everything to fit exactly together. When I moved to this house I arrived to find the owners making sausage sandwiches for the removal guys and most of their stuff still in the house!
I’m glad you’ve got a garden at the new place-I know how important that was to you. But your previous garden was so big it will be much easier for you at the new house I hope.
I’ll use a Scottish word here to describe the current situation -you’ll be in a right “guddle”. In other words, a time of upheaval and confusion with things everywhere! I hope you’ll soon be settled finally and I can’t imagine you’ll be wanting to move again!

Well I had a very sleepless night last night and I really appreciated support on this blog - thank you. I got my results this afternoon, following my lumpectomy from 3 weeks ago. I am very happy to say that it is very good. 10mm lump with some DCIS(?) was removed with clear margins and the lymph nodes removed were clear. I' ll have radiotherapy I don't know the plan yet but I'm sure it will be fine. I feel so very thankful and grateful to so many people. I couldn't have had better treatment from everyone.
Hi Tomus and welcome from me too.
I had a read of your profile, and see you have been through a pelvic exenteration…amongst lots of other things…there aren’t many of us about, and it’s good to meet you. I had my total exenteration in 2020 and in some ways it feels like an eternity ago.
This is a great thread to pop onto when you can’t sleep…there’s usually a night owl or two in the same situation and everyone is very friendly and happy to chat so feel free to post whenever you’d like to.

Hi Never1
That sounds like really good news you’ve had today so what a relief! Waiting for any kind of results is so anxiety inducing for us so you’ll be happy to know that you’ll have a plan soon in place to get this sorted out.

I’m SO pleased to hear that Jane-a new start in the new year for you.
