Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Morning Sarah
Aw thanks for your lovely message. Yes, checking OH for signs of breathing throughout the night again. It's crazy but necessary after what he's been through, and I'll keep on doing it because I do indeed care about him. On my last check he assured me he's feeling ok, but knows a GP visit is on the cards, so we'll see how that goes. I'll certainly give an update when we know the score.
Thanks again my lovely, and you have a good day. Hugs xxx
Best to get things checked out Gill, but glad he’s feeling ok at the moment. Another worry for you nonetheless, but hopefully you can both get some reassurance today.
Sarah xx
Morning Gill
Sorry to hear OH isn't too good, I hope your GP can help.
I see we have some new members, sorry to see you all here and I hope you all got some sleep. I understand the problem of waiting for results, it can be nerve wracking.
We're in Brugge now until Thursday, it's one of our favourite places and they really make an effort for Christmas.
H
Same for me
I had partial removal of stomach
People say I look great
But in reality
Im tired exhausted and very uncertain in what direction im going in
Don't want to celebrate Christmas
Some foods make mr feel sick
I don't eat much these day
I annoyed with family
Hi again Sarah
Well it's taken several hours, but here's where we're at now. I rang the doctors this morning and after waiting over half an hour, was progressing in the queue - then got cut off! I rang back and another half hour later got a response. I was told his GP would call me, but I had shopping to do so went and did that. I eventually got the call, after a back and forth with the SALT team, and advised OH would need a chest x-ray to rule out aspiration to his lungs. So, I rang the hospital and the earliest he can be seen is 6.05 pm this evening. Phew! So a bit of a paper chase but we're on it.
Hopefully your day's been a tad more relaxed. Love Gill xxx
