Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Aw that's a relief about the farm Eddie, as I worry about the animals having it rough in bad weather. Not to mention the extra work for those who have to deal with it. I never knew Donny was so high up.

It's a shame about your weather as I'll bet Shropshire is gorgeous to look round. Well there's a Christmas fair in our little town tomorrow, so if the rain eases off we'll both be able to go down for a mooch round the stalls. If not, LOH will have to stay at home as I can't risk him catching a cold - neither of us fancy a visit to A&E with another chest infection. Sheila must be suited, avoiding all the gloom, but I'm glad you've got your family round you and sending you all love and hugs xxx

  • Morning all

there's a Christmas fair in our little town tomorrow,

That sounds good, I hope you can both get out to have a look.

Today we'll be getting the motorhome ready for a few days away from tomorrow, just as it's going to get cold Rofl

  • Morning Helen Sun with face

I'm hoping OH will be able to go as the fresh air and exercise should do him good, but it's down to how wet it might be. I'm fine but he can be susceptible to picking up chills now Fingers crossed

Talking of which, think how cosy it'll be in your home from home when it's cold outside - just wrap up warm when both of you are! Have a lovely time xxx

  • We'll be lovely and warm in the motorhome, it gets nice & toasty in there.

  • I can imagine - lovely jubbley. But with all the talk of bald pates last night, Alan would be wise to pack his woolly hat! xxx

  • The wooly hats are definitely in!

  • There's nothing left, just bit of a fuzzy billiard ball.  I would never have gone for a 'Perry Combover', the Jackie Charlton look.

I try to keep it on a '# no1' to keep the peace.

    I like the

rather than hang on to some clown frizz round the sides and back.

    Made me laugh!!!

    Have a good weekend

  • I wish I could wake up and be a  'Duncan Goodhew' ,  save so much time!

  • A final word about hair.  My heart goes out to all the women who lose their hair because of their cancer treatment.

Personally I think it enhances your faces and looks beautiful!!!  Sorry if I have offended anyone!

  • Morning Steve.

And a final, final word about hair, or lack of - it's not only cancer treatment that can cause hair loss. Mine is down to stress related alopecia, an unwanted offshoot as a result of what happened to OH last year Disappointed

My once decent barnet is now sparce and makes me want to reach for the clippers sometimes. But don't feel sorry as we all know far worse things happen to challenge us. Plus, I can wear my woolly hat now without looking like a loon as I would have done in the summer. I'm proud to join our 'thinning team' on the board!

You have a great weekend too xxx
