Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Aye, it's certainly looking that way for us Steve, but I did say, months ago, that I like the EFL best. I've not changed my mind Neutral face xxx

  • At school we had semolina and tapioca pudding with jam or prunes, which were nice, but my fave was homemade rice  pudding with fruitYum, which I still make today, more so in the colder months

  • I saw the result on the news, and they were all for Forest as well, so no chance of a fair match, Awww Gilly I'm not sure what to say, It's nice you like my pic, but Candy was a labradorite I believe, but Kate loves it, so I'm happy, and Kate is born and bred a West Yorkshire girl, I believe from the Leeds/Bradford area, though I'm not sure how long she's been in SW Scotland. Well my friend I prefer newts, and make, well used to, my manure/compost bins newt friendly for them to overwinter in, and Helen's fry up, Mmmm, if only, sausage and potato's are a winter favourite too with lots of onions.

    love Eddie xx

  • It's porridge season too.

  • Awww that's lovely to hear Helen, but what a shame about lemons, and we'll get to Oxford next month on our way to Bath Christmas market, and a few others, we're staying at Bradford upon Avon, never been so any advice welcome, and spotted dick is fab, but with ice cream for me, and make both myself, but I'd always plump for a crumble.

  • Helen is that made with sugar or salt, milk or water?, we we're brought up on porridge made with raw milk and salt, which looking back is a worry, as the field behind us always seemed full or bulls.

    love Eddie xx

  • Hi Eddie. We're stuffed full, probably overdid it really but the tea was well tasty.

That's what was so annoying about the football, the bias, but it pales into insignificance when I'm reminded of newts.

They are the most gorgeous little creatures and many years ago there was a load of ponds where we used to play, especially to watch them swimming. One day we saw a bunch of lads dropping heavy stones on them and the frogs, trying to kill as many as possible. We chased the vile morons and beat them up. Job done, but we bawled our eyes out when we went back to see if we could rescue any. It's one of those awful memories never forgotten and how senselessly cruel it was. I'm so glad nobody here has that mindset.

Care time so I'll be off for a while, but big hugs all round xxx

  • Well done my friend, let's hope they learned a lesson, but you have to wonder about their home life and why they would want to do such an awful thing in the 1st place, and how sad is it that so many little ponds have disappeared, along with so much of our wildlife.

    love Eddie xx

  • I normally make my porridge with water, some blueberries and a sprinkle of sweetener (no sugar for me being diabetic)

  • It is sad, and the ponds I referred to disappeared to accommodate new builds, as always. Poor wildlife Disappointed

Hey Eddie, we knew who these lads were, even though they went to a different school. All from the 'posh' area and the local comp wasn't good enough for them. I hope they got their just deserts eventually.

Have you got Pops and Cass back with you now? Those two don't half get about xxx
