Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Have you got any plans for today?

    Hi Gill

No plans today, I may just sit on my bfa and crochet all day Sweat smile

  • Morning all!!

We're going to 'Hexham Farmers' Market' today, nothing exciting, no subtitles.

    Enjoy your weekend.

  • Snap im going to be sitting on my bfa and knitting all day Joy

  • That sounds good Steve Grinning I'd love to see all the cattle, if it's that kind of market. Don't worry about the lack of subs, read lips instead. Enjoy xxx

  • Hello briars, and a warm welcome to our little thread, I was sorry to read your dealing with cancer for the 2nd time my friend and your not happy with the hospital you've been referred to for treatment. But you have every right to be referred to the hospital of your choice, you can do this through your GP, it's your legal right, and you should be offered up to 5 appropriate choices, sorry I can't help with the RT question, as mine was too my lower abdomen. Best wishes.

    Eddie xx

  • Thanks Eddie , I thought I heard something like that , thanks for confirming

  • Gill, it's not that kind of market, pity!!  Lots of nice local cheeses from one farm, and another beef steaks and sausages.

There used to be a lamb farmer, I knew her from bringing her lambs to work to be slaughtered.  We lost contact after Covid.  She used to bring me some lovely lamb sausages in to work.  Ah, the good old days!

Having the best Cheese Scone and Cappuccino at Hexham Abbey Tearoom.  Mmm...

  • No problem my friend, and don't get fobbed off, you have every right  by law to change your hospital, good luck getting into Cambridge, I was there early this year"as a guest", it was a lovely hospital, and has a Maggies centre on site as well.

  • Lamb sausages sound yummy Steve, although we've never had them.

The tearoom sounds grand and I hope you treated yourselves to some good cheeses...we love cheese on toast Yum xxx
