Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

That's all sounding really positive, apart from the potential lung issue, but nevertheless, good news.
We got to quite enjoying the six weeks of travelling to and fro for the treatment, and the icing on the cake was we passed right by Elland Road each time. We're happy with Leeds' form but take nothing for granted so we'll see how it goes. You must be made up with your team's recent form though, as they've picked up after wobbling. Hey, don't overdo it with the walking as you don't need any setbacks.
Aw Maggie - it's lovely when dogs offer their paw and she's such a clever girl, knowing her right from left. And well done you, for training her up, apart from the running off! Good stuff my friend xxx
Hi Stacy, I am SO sorry to see what you've been through, I just read your profile... I've said on here previously that although I'm still relatively young at 48 my heart really does go out so much more to children and young adults affected by cancer... it's so difficult when they give you these almost impossible decisions to make... I hope and pray you have good guidance to make yours.
Steve
I'm hoping to get back to some swimming so hopefully that will sort the lungs out.
Also hoping Utd are now title contenders this season... you never know lol
Steve, that would be great if you can take up swimming, as it would benefit more than just your lungs.
My OH has just finished a six month therapies course to improve his mobility that's taken a battering due to his surgery. Anyway, a new four month course starts this Thursday, complete with membership to the local leisure centre. When we went for his review, we gazed longingly at the pool... but it's a no go area as he's not allowed to swim. His neck stoma would cause aspiration of the water into his lungs, so we'll have to carry on gazing. The dreaded gym equipment awaits instead.
You did say, before the season kicked off, that MU would be champs, so hold on to that and maybe have a flutter.
Righto Steve, I'm going to try for some sleep, as it's an early start for us, so I'll say night and hope you get some too xxx
Hello all.
How is everyone?
Hope everyone is doing ok. Back from holiday. First few days weather was rubbish, but it picked up! Kids had the best time, they really did enjoy themselves. While I wouldn't say it was restful with 2 kids, it was lovely being away.
I have my Endoscopy and colonoscopy booked for Friday morning!
Top o' the morning to you Odette.
Aw, lovely to hear you've enjoyed your holiday and even though the kids kept you on your toes, it must have been worth every second, knowing they've had a brilliant time.
Now you rest up when you can, and I'm wishing you all the best for Friday. Hugs to you and yours sweetheart xxx
Morning Stacy
I don't think anyone would be prepared for the decision you need to make whatever their age. I hope you have a lot of support around you and can talk frankly to them.
Big hugs
H
Stacy, you haven't rambled at all. I still can't believe what you have/ are going through!
Through doing my family history (well my partner gets all the credit for that), my parents split up when I was about 2, and we found out that Cancer is rife on my father's side.
Tracey even found a brother I never knew existed. I'm 61 and have a younger brother for the first time! We are actually going to meet up for the first time tomorrow!!
Take care
Steve (SteveCam)
