Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Eddie, was the 'Green un' a local paper with all the football results and reports in?
We had 'The Pink', a spin off from the 'Evening Chronicle', available from about 5pm on a Saturday.
Never been into Rugby, it's not that big here, unlike in Yorkshire.
Steve (SteveCam)
Hi Steve, the Green Un, sounds exactly like The Pink, we could never understand how it could be ready so soon, then again we had no interest in technology, the world's gone mad on it, and I'm not sure the benefits outweigh the costs, as for rugby league, there was no segregation, you could go into any teams club house for a drink, any kind of bad behaviour, even swearing you'd be taken outside by supporters of both clubs, you hardly ever saw a copper, and they were friendly, I have to admit that was unnerving for a while, oh and the games fab, no rolling around like you've been shot at the slightest touch, and respect shown to the ref, I had to work on that, and all for a quarter of the price of football.
Eddie
Hi there guys.
Eddie, that's spot on about the rugby. Football all the way for me, but I'm slowly getting into it courtesy of my fella's rampant support of Rhinos, even starting to understand the weird rules.
But, how do they not get sent off after planting a studded boot onto an opponent's jaw? It all looks deliberate, or maybe I'm just used to red cards rocketing skywards for having the audacity to sneeze.
Shakes head...

Oooh Gilly, the contact rules in rugby, both league and union have tightened up enormously since I switched over, it used to be compulsory to jump on any players caught offside and run your metal studded boots down their back, legs or any other part in the way of the ball, and I have to admit sometimes, even after 35 years, some referees interpretations of the scrum, ruck and maul rules, leave me confused, no doubt many of my family and friends would say, that isn't difficult.
Eddie xx
Not many night owls recently. I tend to go to bed sometime between 1am/2am but last night it was getting light again at 3-30am! I used to watch rugby on TV but got rid of mine a few years ago - more channels but reduced quality. I stopped watching football when George Best became distracted. I'm not really a sporty person as my interests are mainly in science, engineering and music. The internet is a rich source, provided that care is taken to avoid fake information. It can be difficult to spot when AI has been used to boost the apparent credibility. Anyway, whatever your interests I'll look in now and then in the early hours if anyone wants to just chat or perhaps needs moral support to get through a bad patch. I am grateful for the support and comradery (camaraderie) in other groups on the forum (I'm from Bladder).
Hi there Ray and Jane.
My inner night owl flew off around half two this morning, and I slept through till after eight, (love those chocs) so that's a full night and then some for me. I should be on full throttle much later, so if you're around I'm available to discuss any in-depth nonsense (expert) or science (utterly clueless).
What kind of music do you like Ray, and Jane? In our pad we love quizzes and especially ones on music, from most genres. My fella usually pips me on more recent sounds but I have the upper hand on classical, so beat him hands down there.
Righto, I'd better get cracking with the tea. Don't know about you guys but this weather doesn't agree with me, so a supreme effort will have to be made. Maybe see you later on for a chinwag?
Gill xx
Nearly tea time already?! That's the problem with being a night owl - it slips my schedule somewhat. Musical tastes are wide ranging although my memory for titles or who performed is sketchy. I like a lot of modern stuff but it's rarely in English. Musical quality appeals to me far more than lyrics - I only speak English. I even like some Punk, so that blows my 'quality' comment out of the water .
