Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

I need to get the cracklingright as it's the best bit. I could eat a plateful of it and nowt else!
Aw enjoy seeing the family for a couple of days, as it'll put the shine back on your enforced break from the holiday. They'll probably be excited about Halloween on Friday
Take care my friend xxx
Ah, I do like a small sprinkle of sait on the crackling - not too much and no honey.
Aw Eddie, I've just been on H&N and this poor lass and her hubby are going through an awful time. I teared up, as this time last year LOH and me were in the same boat but he'd not been diagnosed terminal. All I could do was offer her support but it's made me sad and like you said, this bloody disease.
But we carry on, so tuck into your packed lunch and make a fuss of the grandkids when you get to the farm.
Be careful on your travels and bosies being sent xxx
Hi Gilly, I've always preferred pepper to salt, as I find pork salty enough, and lunch was lovely ish, Oh Sweetheart, I'm so sorry to hear about the couple on H&N, and I'm certain your help and support has been greatly appreciated, and terminal doesn't mean what it used to, I know many folk, our night owl, being one who are 10 years beyond their prognosis, indeed I know a couple 20 years past, not to forget those who have been cured, so you be you my friend, and do what you can. And as someone who's been on the LWIC forum for a few years and welcomed many, treatables, to the community, I know the difference this place has on those who need somewhere to be supported, and thank you for your bosies, they're lovely xx
Thanks Eddie and I know terminal doesn't always mean the end, but it's upsetting to see posts like that, moreso when it's something similar to OH's recent predicament. The folk on LWIC must be awesome in the extreme.
Anyway, here's hoping you're getting nearer to home and keep yourself warm, as it's well nippy today. LOH isn't a fan of salt but loves black pepper on some foods, so I hope he doesn't splutter as it's a good while since he last tried it! More bosies xxx
Hi Sian, I hope you're both doing ok, my friend, and treatments are going well, and the fires are a distant memory you've all come through in one piece. I was looking for some local knowledge for my idiot little brother, who's going to southern Portugal soon for a couple of months, doing the Rota De Vicentina. Santiago De Cacem to Odeceixe & Sagres, and Villa Nova D Milfonts, and would love some suggestions for day trips, but only if you have the time and feel up to it.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Hi Gilly, I couldn't agree more my friend, and it should be upsetting, if it wasn't, we wouldn't be able to empathise, and understand what our fellow warriors are going through, and I'm all to familiar with the crying Gilly, I'll PM you soon.
I'm about 20 mins from Donny, where Sarah will pick me up, she says there's a nice surprise waiting for me at her place, a roaring fire would be nice, it's freezing here, ah LOH has good taste, pepper everytime, coarse ground black, fine and white are a guaranteed irritant, if you leave the food for 30+ seconds after sprinkling on the pepper, it reduces the spluttering risk even more. Thank you again for your lovely bodies.
love Eddie and family
Oh Eddie… I have just seen this and am thinking/hoping you have a typo in your post and mean lovely “bosies” and not “bodies”! but you never know!
I have been absolutely freezing all day here and although we’ve got 2 open fireplaces in the house we have never had a fire on. I am under my cosy duvet already with my trusty hot water bottle. I miss the coal fires of my childhood but I don’t miss the ice on the inside of the windows in those days when we didn’t have central heating.
Trying to last until November before putting the heating on, but I may cave in during the week. Was away down south yesterday visiting and been exhausted with the car journey-it’s getting more and more difficult for me to sit in the car for a 5 hour round trip. I don’t know how you do all your travelling up and down the country Eddie!
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and you’re not as cold as me!
Sarah xx
