Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

  • Awww Gilly, it's full of lovely beaches, but not my favourite, that would be Tougal beach, Morar, Nr Mallaig. Which is also Annette's favourite beach as well

  • Ok my lovely, sleep well. I'll have a try too xxx

  • Wow, it's like the blue lagoon, gorgeous. Is it in Scotland, cos I've never heard of those places? xxx

  •  West coast in the Highlands, 9-10 hours away, on Tougal beach sits Tougal cottage, which you can book, I've never stayed there, as my aunties live 45 minutes away, but we know someone who has for their Couple with heart. XX

  • Morning all

    I knew I wouldn't get the extra hour's sleep, I was up at 4.20.

Using my time wisely, I've put a turkey crown in the oven as the family are coming for dinner later but first we're going pumpkin picking with the grandkids.

  • Morning Helen Sun with face

A smashing day ahead by the sound of it, so enjoy. No, the extra hour made no difference for me either, but I have lolled around and taken advantage, as once OH gets up the 'work' starts.

A joint of pork's going in soon for our Sunday dinner. Have a lovely day Relaxed️ xxx

  • Oooh lucky you two, roast pork and turkey, I'll be having a packed lunch on the train back to DonnyCry, for lots of proddings and pokings tomorrow and TuesdayScream, but returning Tuesday PM, with my eldest granddaughter and my 2 closest friends from the hospiceGrinningHeart️, have a lovely time with your family Helen, and Gilly, you've not mentioned Filey for a while, I hope it's still onPray, I've had to take the helicopter to Penzance, not my fave, but nice views xx

  • Morning Eddie Blush

Much better than nice views - more like amazing, but I don't envy you the helicopter ride!

The Filey break's still on; we had to wait for others to return from their holidays first, but arranging dates for us are underway so they don't clash with appointments. You know all about that! We're in no rush, so whenever it happens.

Good luck with all the prodding and look forward to a return to paradise. Big hugs xxx
