Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Anyway, I do hope you are n a better Head Space tonight and you have managed to get some sleep! Just remember when you feel like company, there’s usually someone here to chat to, about anything you like! Any luck with posting your pictures yet? I don’t recall seeing them.
Love Annette x
Hi Eddie, I’m sure you will thoroughly enjoy your Birthday Party on Monday with all the children there! Adult parties are ok but in my opinion children have all the fun, ice cream & jelly, party games! Why should the children have All the fun! You enjoy every minute!
Love Annette x
Morning, Annette, did the meds help, and did you get your hoped for sleep?, I do hope so, oh I am already looking forward to the surprise party with the family and all the little ones, we managed to get a last minute cancellation on a flight to Bergen in the morning, so we have another day here, and we can thank our friends properly for putting us up, or is that, putting up with us,
love Eddie and Sheila xx

Hi Friendly 1
Sorry to hear of your diagnosis and I hope the treatment works.

Hello all
Our holiday is coming to an end, we're sitting in glorious sunshine in Calais waiting to go round to the port a bit later. We'll be home for a few days then up to Liverpool to parent-sit for a couple of weeks, then back home for my gynae-oncologist appointment.
I was going to go back to work in November, I'm a receptionist in a doctor's surgery and provide holiday cover so I can pretty much choose when I work but while we've been away we've discussed it and decided I won't go back. They've managed without me for 14 months now but they did want me back. I'll go in and see my manager tomorrow and break the news.
It sounds like you've had a good time away eddiel
Hopefully you're all As good as can be.

Hi there Helen, and good to hear you and Alan have had a great time away. Our luck took a turn for the better, as we won a raffle prize of two nights in Filey, so really looking forward to that if nothing happens to scupper it!
Savvy decision to give up work I reckon. Just think, being able to relax and not having to go out in cold weather if you don't have to. I remember you parent sitting for the in-laws a while back, so good on you. All good luck for when you have your appointment my lovely xxx
Welcome back to Blighty Helen. and have a safe journey home, then up to Liverpool, and thank you for your birthday wishes,
You'll get no argument from me regarding packing in work, I retired at 55yo, and don't regret it for a second, so well done you.
We had a lovely party with all the little ones there, who I hadn't seen for some time, but I had a NM Bone scan earlier so couldn't cuddle them as I was radioactive, it was torture, lol.
Norway was fab my friend, well worth a visit Helen, so beautiful, the Fjords are amazing as are the towns, we went to Tromso and Bergen, and are hoping to go back next year. We're on our way to Scotland for a mini cruise today, just 2 hours to go.
Eddie xx
Wow, Gilly, well done you two, and watch out Filey, your on a roll girl, I hope you've bought your lottery tickets, and your luck continues my friend, something you both so deserve, I've noticed the forum has been a little quiet lately and hope you, LOH, and our friends are just having a break from the forum.
Eddie xx
