Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi, and another very warm welcome from me, though I'm sorry you find yourself here, and at such a young age.
I too love sunflowers; which I grow on my allotment, they are amazing aren't they, we have 2 dogs, a Westie, and a jack Russell, and my youngest daughter is a farmer, they have cows, Highland cattle,"pets," sheep, pigs, chickens, and goats, which they sold as they were letting the pigs out onto the road lol.
I'm not sure you've started your treatment yet my friend, but I wish you every success, my eldest daughter had breast cancer 12 years ago, requiring chemo and a double mastectomy, and came through it very well.
I'm from the most southern town in Yorkshire, but currently sailing up the Norwegian coast, between hospital appointments

Eddie I thought you were supposed to be getting your head down? We're both as crackers as each other and are you some kind of mystic, knowing so much about H? My mind boggles but I really must nod off now.
It was lovely chatting with you H and I hope we can do it again soon.
Night both of you and take good care xxx
Yeah I'm lucky all my family live on the farm in separate areas so there is always someone around. Comepltly get the short notice hospital visits and numerous appointments though. It's driving me nuts.
Yeah I live in Kent in the country side. Right in the sticks I keep trying to move to a closer hospital as the one I'm at is for an old address and is currently an hours drive on a good day with weekly appointments at a minimum it's tiring.
Where are you guys based?
Morning hon, but I'm hoping you're sleeping right now.
Ooh, the garden of England; such a beautiful place but a drawback is having to travel further, as you say. The other end of the scale for us. We live in a small town in West Yorkshire, surrounded by several big cities, so no long treks to hospitals, but there are some lovely rural spots, equally close.
Talking of hospital, I'd better make a move as we've got a therapies exercise group in a couple of hours. Catch you later my lovely xxx
Morning Sunflower, I hope you managed some sleep, Gilly lives north of Leeds and goes to St James in Leeds and Pinderfields in Wakefield..I live in Bessaccar, just south of Doncaster, and I to go to St James, as well as the 3 main hospitals in Sheffield, Worksop, Mexborough, Doncaster, and my local hospice, I've also been to Cambridge, so we both know what a pain in the unmentionables travelling can be. But ask your GP to refer you to the hospital you wish to go to, as it's your right by law to choose your own hospital, and I'm lucky too as most of my family live locally and most Sundays we meet up at my youngest daughter's farm for a big family dinner, I have 3 girls, a boy, and 12 grandkids, so always a special day, though as I'm away in Norway it will be on Monday, as their throwing a surprise birthday party for me lol, my 60th, then more treatment Tuesday morning, then off to Scotland in the afternoon. Life goes on my young friend, even for those of us with a treatable only cancer.
Eddie xx
Morning Gilly, or is that mum, lol, I'm on holiday, so can do as I please, we stopped up a little bit later watch the stars, there's no light to block their view so they look amazing, I got, as a birthday present a star named after me, how nice is that, and I did manage 6 hours kip, and looking forward to seeing our friends in Tromso later today, enjoy your exercises and your well earned dinner afterwards.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Morning Eddie. A star for a star and a lovely, thoughtful gift.
I checked your birth certificate my friend, and it gives the year as born 1987, so no more telling fibs. I'll be buying the candles later.
Have a superb day with Sheila and friends. Love from us xxx
Happy Birthday Eddie, however old you may be. Hope you have a great time in Tromso. We've never been to Norway before, always wanted to, either in the winter for the fjords and ice & snow, and the spring and summer for the northern lights. Next year. Hopefully.
Say hi to Sheila from me.
Steve (SteveCam)
Morning Steve.
We're in the taxi on our way, so this might be a bit wobbly...
OH is doing a lot better now thank you, but not very good with his cane yet, as he can't get the walking to prodding ratio in synch and keeps carrying it. Lol. Hopefully it won't be a long term thing. And I'm fine thanks, looking forward to some scran.
Have a good day and take care xxx
