Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi again Eddie!
It's great that the classes improved your obs - all beneficial for your wellbeing, and walking Poppy (your doggie?) is the best exercise afaic. I'd like nothing more but I'm afraid getting a furry chum isn't on the cards right now as we have lots of appointments to fulfill. Maybe in the future as we're both crazy about animals.
Oh, I actually enjoyed exercising this morning and worked my socks off! Well, a slight exaggeration there but I'm sure I'll have a few aches tomorrow. My H wasn't thrilled about going today - bad night with mucous, lymphoedema issues, etc - but I talked him round and off we went. Despite everything, his obs were spot on and we were both chuffed. Jenny, the gal in charge, checked him out regularly and he got top marks each time. The place itself is lovely and the classes are in the large conservatory next to the gardens. We got a cuppa on arrival and I was given a guided tour of the gardens and shown all the herbs and flowers grown there. Super dooper!
So, for all my whinging and whining this morning we had a grand time and met new people whom I yakked to non stop - my jaw muscles put the rest of me to shame!
Enjoy your day and please give Poppy a hug from me.
Gill xx
Welcome LillieB to the Night Owls thread, I hope. You will feel free to post whenever you are awake during the night or indeed anytime of the day! I look forward to chatting!

Thanks Gill, the exercise classes do grow on you, and just seeing and feeling a little improvement was all the motivation I needed to try harder, and the guys and trainers were fab in helping me achieve my goals, great to hear that you enjoyed your latest exercise group, and I hope it remains so, though I'm sure the 6 stents I've had over the past 20 months have helped.
Awww, I'm sure you know best regarding the right time to bring a furry friend into the family, but the right breed can fit in to any household, Poppy, my jack Russell, has adapted to all the changes due to my health, and they have been huge for us both. She also has her forever home when the time comes, Cuddle given, and nice day had by all by the coast, 30C, so the sea was glorious to be in for everyone.
So it seems a good day for everyone, including Poppy,
Eddie xx
