Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Ooh hi there. I was told it would be helpful if Jamie spoke with me directly. This is to discuss issues faced by many which appear particularly prevelent at night and where access is via mobile phones although not exclusively.
Thanks
Hi Kez,
Nice to meet you. Thank ylu for your message.
Yes it did help. Ive got something called a snugbud which like a pouch with a strap for the hot water bottle. I can then have the bottle on me hands free and stays in place even if im wriggling around like worm all.night haha
Thank you for the words of encouragement. It means alot xxxx
Hello.
I hope you have had a much better day. I am sorry that you were in distress. Sending hugs. xx
Me again. And the universe continues to guffaw. I just stepped out for a couple of minutes to walk Stressy's dog and of course in the dark stepped in which clung better than super glue to my shoe treads!!
Also ... went GP, plantar fascitis confirmed along with the unwelcome news that it can take 12-18 months to resolve. I have had it for months, doing the stretches, got the gel heel pad!!!
Just the other day I said given my restricted options for pain relief, its good I haven't had to find more than paracetamol recently. Guffaw guffaw said the universe as I was almost in tears before today's appointment and barely able to walk.
Persuaded GP to request an appointment with physio and got topical ibuprofen. Did you know clothing and bedding that have had contact with it may remain flammable even after they are laundered?
Anyway got the gel, got back through door and unraveled everything hurt from inside out, felt cold and brittle and tearful... applied gel, took pills, made licorice tea, put heat on, ate chocolate... came on here ... slowly the storm subsiding... take out dog, step in
, attempt to remove
, dog throws up ... again! I can laugh... now!
Stressy out but on way back with tea, for me cheese patty and few chips
Cheers
Daisy, I'll have everything crossed for you next Wednesday, sweetheart and so hoping the results are what you and your parents long to hear.
In the meantime, please give the adorable Chien a daily fuss and cuddles from me. If we can't have a doggy pal I'm happy to pretend via your beautiful boy.
Loads of hugs for you all
