Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough Helen. Don't worry, I'll eat your food on your behalf, as a kind gesture.

    Get well soon.

That's fantastic news Jane! I think that a lower offer is what you were expecting, but at least it's sold and I hope it goes through. Hopefully your Sister will just be happy that you've found a buyer.

  • Thanks Geoff,I’ve let Sarah know and she is relieved I have found a buyer.Better get in touch with the solicitor shortly and send her details to the estate agents.Feel very emotional Sob x

  • Thanks, I've had a piece of toast now and feel a little more human.

  • Thanks. It will be such a relief to move forward.I’ve been in limbo since my mum died in January 2022.I couldn’t put the house on the market for over a year as I needed to clear it.Now it needs repairs and I have no money to do the work.Xx

  • Hello Laddo and a belated warm welcome from me too.

Before I get into bother with Eddie for the late reply, I have an excuse; not been home long from a pretty hectic day so far and a mishap along the way.

Anyway, so pleased to see you here, albeit under difficult  circumstances, but well done on starting your Christmas shopping.  I'll bet most of us have got nowhere near even thinking about it!  It's natural to worry about your son's - I'm the same with my daughters, also independent with their own homes, but it doesn't stop the fretting, even though I pretend I don't.

I hope it went ok this morning and I'm sure your good wife will have words if you overdo it with the PICC line.

My tip for dropping off is to listen to Raven Reads on YouTube - many hours of ghost and horror stories read in an ultra-soothing voice by the lady herself.  Maybe not your cup of tea but it certainly works for this insomniac!

    Big hugs xxx

  • The magic toast rarely fails Helen.  Hope you're feeling better xxx

  • Hi Jane.  Excellent news and I hope it keeps on going.  I said to Eddie the other night I had a good feeling about the sale, so fingers crossed it all goes through.  You deserve it after all this time and the hassle.

    Love and hugs xxx
