Are you having trouble sleeping?

Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.

“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

    Morning Kate!  Slight smile

Oh is that right Kate? Is that the rules? Oh heck. Will you be my dance partner please? I bet you've never danced with a jelly before!

Hi Laddo. Sorry I missed your post, and thanks to Eddie for mentioning you. I'm new here too, and the posts can sometimes appear pretty regularly so it's easy to miss a post if things go onto a new page.

Have you tried Youtube instead of Facebook? I often lay down watching it from bed on my projector, and it really helps take my mind off things.

I also worry about the effects of my illness on others. It upsets me to think about how they'll cope if they lose me. I've learned though to try not to think too much about such things, and to look after myself, and others will get through it in their own ways and they WILL be fine. It's hard to come to terms with though isn't it? I've known about having cancer for just over a year now and it still hasn't sunk in.

Hope to see you around some more.
    Geoff.

It's good you manage to keep yourself busy Jane. It's just a shame you don't live close enough to me to come over and do my dusting. Do you think it's fair to leave me to do it all on my own? Stuck out tongue winking eye

Don't work too hard.  Slight smile
