Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi guys, just read through today's posts after a long , long day, great to see Goeff join us, and hopefully there's light at the end of the tunnel for Jane with the house, Nige has his tube in, Sian is cooling down and the fires are keeping away, Puddock has given us a masterclass on biscuits, and everyone else appears to have had a decent day, apart from Steve whose having a wonderful time in Austria, the lucky so and so, my appointments went fine and had a lovely time at pub painting doing a donkey, it's not quite finished, but thought Geoff would like to see it.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Awww, he's beautiful Eddie! Or is it a she? Never mind pin the donkey's tail - we should have an Awake game of name the donkey, and you can choose the one you like best.
Well I'm really chuffed you've had a good day, and I think we've all had one too. Who was it who said it's good to talk? Well they got that right!
Night night all and get plenty of rest xxx
Hi Geoff (Beefymoo) A warm welcome from me! I’m Annette and I am usually awake at ridiculous o’clock, so if you can’t get to sleep, come here for a chat, there’s usually someone about!
Gill, If I was in your shoes with fleas from next doors cats, I would leave a tb of flea powder on her doorstep and hope she’d take the hint!
Love Annette x
Well I think the donkey is definitely a female. Look at those eyelashes, just ready to flutter at any passing male and that hint of a smile says “Hi I am very friendly!” I would call her FiFi as she looks French!
Love Annette x
I'm up early due to on-going pain. Nothing to do with cancer this time but it's getting to be a real problem in my side, and laying down makes it worse.
I'm just catching up reading the night's posts. I'm glad I haven't missed the lovely painting of a donkey! Thanks Eddie, I love it. Does he like carrots? Of course he does, he's a donkey! Eeyorr. Thank you Eddie.
By the way Eddie, every time I type your name it comes up as Eddit. I have no idea why my fingers are pressing the T instead of the E! So if I miss any instances of that when mentioning you, please know that I don't think your name is Eddit, I've just got silly fingers.
Hi Annette, thanks for the welcome, it's lovely meeting you.
I'm up earlier than usual this morning due to some pain I keep getting which is made worse by laying down. I may go back to sleep later though once the pain has settled, as I'm very sleepy.
Hope you have a good day today.
Geoff.
