Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

have you been to Castleford or Yorkshire Helen?.
Yes, many times. I was still in school when Tricia moved there (she's 13 years older than me) and Mum, Dad & I used to visit regularly. I haven't been for a few years though as Tricia & Peter like coming here to see our grandkids (they never had kids), they were here for Sarah's wedding last month.

What a great thread, I will be participating for sure as I very rarely sleep through. I look forward to talking to all the night owls
Hi Danniwales
I drop in to this forum occasionally....so welcome from me! It IS fab! There's usually someone around to chat with.
I've just read your profile too.....WOW, you really have been through a tough time. I do hope you continue to recover from all the surgery, and regain your mobility.
Think you deserve an award for resilience!
hugs from Kate
Hi and welcome to our little group!
I read your profile, and you've really been through the mill, but with a really positive attitude. Fantastic!
A couple of our friends here are from Wales; Debs, who lives in the west near Cardigan, and Sian who lives in Portugal now but originates from Cardiff. Which part do you live in Danni? Quite a few of us live in Yorkshire, me included, but we're spread around from Scotland to much further down south. We all speak the same daffy language though! And a fair few of us are night owls and don't know when to get our heads down!
Looking forward to chatting, whatever time of day it is.
Hugs or cwtchs xxx
Hi Eddie, meet Beau & Buddy, both rescue dogs from Portugal. Beau, the white one, is bigger than a lab and about 36kg. Buddy is spaniel size and a real character. They don't look bad for 13 years old. Long may it continue.......
Treacle likes to drink from the pool!
Hope you are having a good day xx

Hi Sian. I was going to send you a post but will sneak one in here.
Love Beau and Buddy, beautiful pups, and Treacle is a little cracker! You're so lucky to have them all, including Sheep and the chickens, in your family. You know I've adopted them as ours too.
Nige goes for his feeding tube tomorrow but not sure which type he'll get as yet. He certainly needs one though.
How are you and Darren my lovely? He was asking after you both and sends his love. Much cooler here and the sun hasn't come out at all. Is it still hot at yours and how's the painting going?
Sending big hugs to you all xxx
Hi Debs, can't imagine 35° in Wales! Really windy here today which is lovely but there have been a couple of wildfires and the wind is the last thing you want with fire
Good to hear that the dogs are settling, it all takes time to adjust sadly. How are you and Jon coping?
Big cwtch to you all xx
Hi Helen, that's wonderful you keep in touch with your big sister, it sounds like the whole family is very close, and how fab a family wedding, my youngest is also called Sarah and got married last month.
I went with Sarah and her big sister Mandy to her friends wedding on Thursday, where some idiot tried to get a little too friendly with her, Mandy put him right, PS, I quite like Castleford.
Eddie xx
