Are you having trouble sleeping?
Sleep problems may be caused by how you’re feeling emotionally, or as part of the side effects for cancer treatment. If you find it hard to have a good sleep, you’re not alone. The Online Community is here to support you 24/7.
“Getting a cancer diagnosis is extremely stressful, and that brings a whole load of emotions, and lack of sleep certainly does not help. I think many of us have periods of insomnia. I experienced a long period of not sleeping. I could go off to sleep quite quickly, but after an hour I would find myself wide awake again, and would spend the rest of the night getting frustrated because I couldn't sleep."

Hi Eddie,
It is the same sheep! We only have one that we rescued when her.mum didn't have any milk and we hand fed her from a day old. The fig tree is perfect for some shade. The other photo is just before she had a haircut, she is 8 now. Poppy looks mischievous which I live. We also have 2 rescue dogs, both 13 this year and a black cat called Treacle.
Amazing that your brother does the pilgrimage walks, I think they are mainly up north and we are right down in the south.
We are actually from Cardiff so know Llantwit Major quite well.
Hope you get a good night's rest, Sian xx
That's fab the exercises are going so well, and are you doing any set routines at home or doing other things to tick along between sessions, and thank goodness there was sarnies and .
Awww, glad my suggestion may be helpful, would you believe Helen's sister used to live at Ryehill, I haven't been since lockdown, so it may have changed, but what a lovely surprise it will be for hubby.
I've always loved a massage, my vice, as I don't drink or smoke, and no, nothing like that Gilly, and i'm pretty good at giving one as well, but not to anyone with an injury, unless I'm familiar with it, but will happily help my friends. Sheila and I enjoy giving each other one, often at the same time, and treat ourselves with a trip to a Spa a couple of times a year.
Sian is lovely, and hopefully we can get to know each other a little more and help each other on this journey of ours, we all need a friend or two.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Awww that's so kind of you to look after Sheep, an apt but lovely name, and it was the horns that threw me, she does look amazing, and thank you Poppy can be completely bonkers at times but loves a cuddle, how do all your furry/feathery friends get on?, I would love to see a pic of Treacle and the dogs if possible.
My brother used to go to Lisbon quit often, but prefers to get away from the tourists now, and said he's never been to the south, not even for a day trip.
I'm quite fond of Cardiff, and went often when visiting my auntie, we had some fab Italian food there and great night's out.
Thank you my friend, I sleep ok, but I appreciate your kind words, and wish you a nice night's sleep too.
love Eddie and Sheila xx
Thanks Eddie, and I agree about needing friends at these times; Sian and me are in the same boat - not a great deal of support forthcoming at all. My eldest is there if I need her, but I try to keep her out of it in the main, and like to get some normality back when I'm with her. She totally gets me on everything.
It will be nice to get our little support group back when the PMs return; I think of Debs and Sian as my younger, virtual sisters and we all rally round Nige, who's having a really rough time atm.
I'm not sure about getting massaged as I'm very ticklish, so probably wouldn't be a great recipient. Lol! It's my loss, even if OH wanted to give it a whirl.
Anyway, you've got some fabulous trips to look forward to so take lots of pictures to share with us, especially on the cruises. One of my aunties came from Cardiff (never lost her accent) so it is indeed a small world.
Big hugs xxx
I understand fully my friend, support from those who understand is so important; just knowing your not alone and that your emotions and feelings are normal is a huge comfort, and please don't think for a second that being the career is easier than being the patient, it's not true Gilly, if anything it's tougher. I think I read one of Nige's posts on another forum, I qualify for 12, he was struggling with delays and poor communication from his "care" givers, sadly not unusual.
Awww Gilly, a massage isn't ticklish, well maybe reflexology can be very occasionally, but as a way of switching off, it's priceless, you must give it a try.
One of my aunties moved to Yorkshire in 1974, and not only has she kept her Scottish accent, all her kids have one, despite hardly ever going to Scotland
sleep well my friend m

Hiya Sian, oh thanks for the thoughts hon, we’re all doing ok. The dogs have settled which is good. It’s been hot here too … not 40% thankfully but did get to 35% Saturday
I’m keeping myself busy as usual. I try and get everything I want to do, done before it heats up. Then take it slowly. I’m still getting up before dawn, years of being woken by Buck, bless him. But I snooze through the heat of the afternoon, so catch up then.
Glad to hear it’s cooling down for you next week. We’re set for another week or so of good weather, I’m not complaining as it’s sometimes depressing here in Wales when it seems to start raining as soon as the kids break up for summer, and continues until they go back in Sept
Hope you have a good day sweetie.
Love to you and Darren xxx
have you been to Castleford or Yorkshire Helen?.
Yes, many times. I was still in school when Tricia moved there (she's 13 years older than me) and Mum, Dad & I used to visit regularly. I haven't been for a few years though as Tricia & Peter like coming here to see our grandkids (they never had kids), they were here for Sarah's wedding last month.
