Struggling today

Hi I'm sorry you are struggling at the moment.  You are at the worst part where you are waiting to find out exactly what you are facing.  Once you know and you are given your treatment plan you will very likely start to feel a lot better. Most of us do at this point.

The main thing to focus on is becoming cancer free and your way of achieving that may or may not be a mastectomy.  If you do need to have a mastectomy it probably won't be as bad as you imagine.  Many ladies on here and a couple of close friends of mine had to have mastectomies and cope well with it.  My two friends both opted for a reconstruction and they are happy with the outcome and leading normal lives now.

It's natural to worry about spread I think we all do.  From all the bios I've read it seems like spread doesn't happen often at all but even if it has your medical team will come up with a plan to deal with it.  Try to take one day at a time and not worry about worst case scenarios which are unlikely to be the case.

The waiting is really hard but you will get through it.
