My husband - Chris - died on the 2nd May 2009 because he had anal cancer. He knew he was going and we spoke about lots and lots of things before he died. That is why I am just not prepared for the huge amount of guilt I feel now. I feel guilty that the world hasn't stopped turning round even though he has died. I feel like everything should stop as a mark of respect. I also feel very guilty that he had to be so ill he had to die. What a cruel cruel thing it is to make someone so ill their body just stops working. I wasn't ready for him to go. I really really hope these are normal feelings because I must hang on to my sanity for the sake of my 3 children. I have never known sadness like I feel right now. I can't believe that I will not hear his voice or feel his touch again. We were married for almost 32 years and I have known Chris for 34 years - since I was 16. What happens now? Ailsa
The pictures from the ledge are lovely Rosemary and the video was so funny. Enjoy your baileys. I will save mine for tomorrow night when I can celebrate the arrival of the weekend. I always look forward to one of Sue's Friday pictures so I hope you don't let me down Sue!
Helen the fundraising total is looking good so I hope you manage to get it to £3000. Busy as I keep myself I don't think I am up to a carboot sale so good luck to you with it and good luck with the night walk as well. I am still not sure about going to see a psychic.
Has anyone else got plans for the weekend? Take care. Ailsa xx
just for you, Ailsa - a little early, but nearly there!
Hope everyone has as good a weekend as they can. My sister and her partner are coming for the weekend, which will be lovely; a lot of chilling out and pub meals.
sue xx

Teri
Hi Everyone, Well done Rosemary your photos are lovely. Well done Gayle in booking your hols you deserve them you are always so busy. Helen hope you get on ok in your walk. Ailsa not seen the kitten yet just a photo but hopefully i will see him soon. I have had Charlie today we managed to get out a walk but very cold and it's raining here this evening where is our summer. Charlie full of the cold so he is going to doctor tomorrow again to check it's not on his chest but he still has plenty smiles. Just can't believe how quick he is growing he will soon be six months. Another lady i know has just been diagnosed with cancer she has been going to doctor for six months and they only sent her for more tests last week. There seems to be so much in this area just now. Hope everyone else ok i send hugs to you all. Fiona xxxxxxx
well, thank heavens it's Friday at last - I'm sure someone squeezed an extra couple of days in somewhere! It must be this new coalition government.....
I need to get my house cleared up as i have visitors coming tomorrow, and am out in the morning on church coffee morning duty. Tired, though.... ah, well.....
Love to all - Welcome back, lynne

Hi everyone. Thanks for the Friday picture Sue. Now I know it really is the weekend. Just need to join Rosemary with the baileys now. I hope you have the lovely relaxing weekend your looking forward to with your sister Sue. Welcome home Lynne. Fiona I hope Charlie got on okay at the doctors today. I can't believe he is nearly 6 months old! Hope your weather is a little better. Ours has been better today and apparently tomorrow won't be too bad either.
I am having another day in the garage tomorrow. I will need to go shopping first thing for more storage boxes but I am hoping to get some of the garage floor painted so that I can start putting things in their place. On Sunday I am going to Scarborough with Stu & Suzi as Stu has seen a car he wants. I hope the sun is out for that trip as well. other than that I am hoping for another chance to catch up on the sleep I lost in the past 3 months and maybe a bit of telly viewing.
I have an uncle who has been diagnosed with cancer so I know what you mean about it seeming to be around a lot Fiona. My dad was asking me last night if I minded if my aunt rings me for some advice on looking after his skin which is being burned by radiotherapy. I know they all worry about upsetting me but I did so much reasearch to look after Chris and his burned skin that it should not go to waste. I said that I am more than happy to share some of the knowledge I unfortunately now have if it helps my uncle deal with what is happening to him. I just wish there was more I could do. I probably won't hear from them for a few days but if I don't hear then I will ring them. There has to be something positive I can do out of all this.
Well I hope you are all busy doing nice things. Judi how is your cold? I hope it hasn't been too bad and that you are going to have a better weekend this weekend. Take care everyone. Ailsa xxx
Hi everyone
No Baileys for me ... a glass of chilled Rose instead - I am pretending it is summer! Thanks Ailsa, the cold is shifting but oh my it is taking its time. However, i am confident that I will have more energy to do some things around the house and garden than last weekend (weekend = 48 hours: Judi sleeping = 42 hours)
Fiona, I can't believe that tootie Charlie is 6 months! In a gesture to that he can send his cold up to me, my chest is bigger than his so I can take it! Fingers crossed for a bit of warmth and sunshine up here this weekend heh??
Lynne, I am so glad that you had a fun time (and an easier journey home than our Gayle!) .... what do you mean the barman remembered you and your sister???!!! Oh me oh my. Sue - have a pub meal for me will you - I have been asked out for supper dinner with three girlfriends tomorrow night. I say dinner because I just looked at the menu online and at those prices it MUST be a posh dinner and not supper! And it is all fish, now I know it may not be the right thing to say but I tend to like my fish battered or breadcrumbed and somehow I don't think that will be on the menu.
Pete the Plasterer called round today because sadly I have to take down (ok, slight exaggeration but not much) half a wall and get it redone due to damp coming in from next door's unused chimney! This is in my front stairs/hall so it really has to be done and redecorated before I can start letting people come in to view so a bit of a pain really. But never mind, it will all turn out alright I am sure. And if I decide to buy a do-it-up job then a friendly plaster to join George, George and George will be handy!
Three weeks today Boy and I should be in our shorts and shades (not a pretty thought) and on our way, BA permitting. Best look out my favourite white trousers ....... Lynne ... .could you have yours washed, ironed and sent up here by then ..... or will you have been taking lessons from Gayle and have squeezed another holiday before then! They would only be a little short for me (and three sizes too small!)
Off to pour my second glass and think of Helen doing her walk ... and a hup two, three, four and a left two, three, four. (((((( )))))) and some plasters for any blisters hun.
Much love to all - Judi xxxx
PS Dottee - not a single sign of bud or life in my 'woosie' fuschia - definitely just a twig so a new hardy variety will be bought.
Hello Everyone, Just a quick post to say...
Welcome back to our lovely Lynne! xx Rosemary, the view from the ledge is lovely - hope to see it in person one day. xx Fiona, hope that Charlie is better soon and that you are OK? xx Sue, enjoy your coffee morning but don't go too mad on the cleaning! xx Hope your day in the garage goes well Ailsa, sounds like you are really cracking on now! xx Judes, enjoy your Rose - I am looking forward to hearing about your travels - I spent 20 months living in the greek islands in the late 80's so I have a soft spot for them... xx
Helen, Lesley, Patricia, Gayle, Terri and everyone I haven't mentioned - there are so many of us now I forget what we are all up to! - hope you are all Ok and have agood weekend.
Had a nightmare time at work today, but I've been to see the 'Hairy Bikers' roadshow tonight and it was hysterical! Can't remember the last time I laughed so much (and really meant it) I would recommend them if they are heading in your direction!
Much love, Manda xx
